Cassie was a Ladybug at daycare and a Bunny Rabbit for trick or treating with Grandma, Mommy and Daddy! Although we couldn't get her to wear the headpiece for either costume (without tears), she still looked adorable. She turned a year and half the day before Halloween and for the very first time ever, she fell asleep in her highchair the day after Halloween!!Obviously we were in shock, but she was exhausted from staying up late on Halloween night on a little sugar high from the Kit Kat that Daddy fed her along our route around the same neighborhood I trick-or-treated on as a child!! The next day Cassie and I went to her very first ice show...Disney on Ice, The Princesses. We went with Julie and Taryn and sat in the front row. Cassie just loved it!! We included a few shots in the new gallery of random stuff including her wearing her brand new Sketcher shoes from her Aunt Linda and some of her playing with Lily.

Saturday, we went to the Sacramento Zoo and met a friend of Cassie's from daycare Jake and his mom Sharon. There were lions, tigers and snakes oh my!!! It was Cassie's first daycare friend playdate and we all had fun! She liked looking at all the animals and even touched a huge boa snake
There was a play area where she loved a snake slide.
Sunday, we went with our friends Layne and Julie and their two little ones Jacob and Taryn to a big pumpkin farm! Cassie loved the little goats in the petting zoo and to Chris's horror
, even kissed them a couple of times (she does this with Lily at home so that's probably why she did it there). They had big tires from tractors in the ground and she loved holding daddy's hands and walking on top of them.
Next week, Cassie turns 1 and a half and we will be posting halloween pics...

Today we took Cassie to Apple Hill. Grandma and Aunt Marion joined us and we had a great morning of picking apples, riding a little roller coaster, playing in a mini jump house, and visiting a petting zoo!!! A good time was had by all but especially Cassie who even got to ride her first pony!! There are new pictures in the gallery of it all!!
Lately, Cassie has been saying new words and even surprised us by saying “Hi Daddy” her first put together words! She has also learned to feed Lily her dinner each night. They love to play together and Cassie giggles a lot while Lily chases her through the house when she has Lily’s toy. She loves going to the park and has begun to go on the bigger kids slide now. She can finally ride on the rocking dinosaur she got for her first birthday and is painfully cutting some new teeth. Last weekend, on a bike ride with Mommy, she saw her first big horse in person and up close! Her favorite book is “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” and she points to the spider on each page and says “pider”! She says “andma” when our phone rings now and even picks it up saying that because it’s usually Grandma calling. Chris and her have fun playing a little animal game he has made up for her where he finds animals in a book and she has to go get the little plastic ones she has of them. She is pretty good at it! Lastly, at daycare she found the black diamond in a game they play for the first time. When I asked what that meant I was impressed to find out that they hide a shape with a different color each day and ask the toddlers to find them and this past month was the first time she did!!
Here are some cute pictures from the last month. She is learning to draw with her Tadoodle crayons and even made her first landscape design with rocks and a brick!! She loves to play with Lily when she can and is actually getting good at petting her. She is saying more words now, like MINE! and YEAH Cassie! She loves to just play with mommy and Daddy. They call her the dare devil at daycare as she is always climbing on everything. She loves to watch Backyardigans and her Baby Einstein shows (which we just introduced her to) and is carrying her own little breakfast bag into daycare each day. She gives great hugs now and kisses too (even to Lily)! She is a very happy little toddler! :-)
